Our founder started his career in rice industry as a layman at the age of 13 and earned necessary experience, not just to sustain himself, but to succeed in the industry. In the year 1984 he started his own business and gained immediate positive response from the market for his best quality produce. In those times without modern machinery, producing good quality rice was all based on the talent of the producer. Later in the year 1987 he established the brand Olivilakku. Since then we have continued to delight our consumers with premium quality rice forever.

We always practice the following:
We produce only 6 months crops:
Compared to others, 6 months crops are best suited for good texture and taste. These 6 Months Crops also does not require high fertiliser and pesticides like short period crops which are unhealthy for us humans and the agricultural land.
We produce only parboiled rice:
We produce only parboiled rice since steam rice makes the digestion for anyone difficult exerting high stress on the digestive system. Though producing steam rice lowers costs of production as well as cost price, we always put the health of our consumers ahead of anything else.
Educate the consumer and clean the market:
We focus on educating each and every consumer we talk to irrespective of whether they buy from us or not. We strongly believe that once the consumer is educated about the product, he/she will always choose the best and the market will be naturally filled with best quality produce whipping off adulterated and overrated products and practice.
